Kaizen Agile Learning Experience

Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning change for the better or continuous improvement. Improvement in productivity is viewed as a gradual and methodical process. The Kaizen Agile methodology underscores that small changes now can have large future impacts. It also considers that every individual, irrespective of their position within the company hierarchy can contribute to the process of change. Everyone has a voice and a responsibility.

This is a more coherent, meaningful, and realistic approach to Agile and productivity.

The Kaizen Agile learning experience is structured in six sessions, covering the five pillars of Kaizen and including a special closing session. The goal is to learn how to work through moments of uncertainty, dealing with challenges and issues where we can make a difference, such as reducing waste (time, energy, resources), enhancing productivity, encouraging responsibility, empowering employees through concrete action, and ultimately, fostering innovation at work.

A multidisciplinary approach, blending critical thinking, coaching dynamics, traditional Japanese elements, guided discussions, individual and group work, team-building activities, design thinking strategy, and even origami. Every activity has been carefully designed to work through the corresponding focus for each session. Each session is organically linked to the following session. This is to optimise learning and ensure that participants are deeply absorbing the concepts through working with their hands, working individually and as a team, as well as practising what they are learning.
